How to bring Twitter widget to Wetpaint?

1. Create a web page on Google Sites, NAU web server, or other wikis compatible Twitter widget.

EX: http://www.chihtu.org/bb/etc647/Syllabus/TwitterSearchGadgetLarge.html

I put Twitter search widget on my own web server.

2. I used this script to bring the webpage containing Twitter widget to the Wetpaint page,

<iframe name="I1" src="http://www.yourwebsitehere.com" width="900" height="425" scrolling="yes">

The result can be seen on our course Wetpaint: http://etc647.wetpaint.com/page/Lesson+2 or http://etc647.wetpaint.com/

May 2011 Commencement

Hi all,

Are you planning on graduating and attending Commencement this Spring?

If so, please be aware of the commencement changes due to the Dome being renovated in the forwarded email below.   Remember, that you need to have your graduation application submitted to the graduate college by the 2/11/11 deadline.  However, you need to make sure that you give your adviser time to review your application.  In other words, make sure you get your graduation application documents to your adviser in plenty of time for  him/her to review and submit it though to our Department Chair.

The Graduation Application Materials need to include the following:

1.       Graduation Application [retrieve at…http://home.nau.edu/gradcol/graduation.asp]

2.       Unofficial Transcript

3.       Completed Program of Studies [fill out the semester and date for each course taken]

Flagstaff Campus May 2011 Commencement

The May 2011 commencement season has been presented with a number of challenges due to the renovation of the Walkup Skydome and the many other construction projects underway in May. After examining many different alternatives and conducting many stakeholder conversations, it was decided that the best option was to rent and construct a high-quality temporary facility.

Structure: The commencement structure will be located in parking lot P62B. P62 will be reserved during commencement for VIP and handicap parking. Lot P62B will be closed on May 2 to accommodate construction. All other set-up work will begin on May 9.

Ceremony Event Details: We will have a five commencement ceremonies as is shown below. Departments, schools and colleges will be able to conduct receptions. Ceremony scripts and timing will be nearly the same as always.

Ticketing Details: Another change unique to May is the need for guest tickets. Although the temporary structure is large—about the size of a football field in plan—it is not big enough to accommodate an unlimited number of guests. As such, each graduating student is limited to six ticketed guests. Tickets will be available from NAU Central Ticketing between 8 a.m. April 1 and 4 p.m. April 30, 2011. Graduating Flagstaff students will pick up tickets in person. Extended Campuses and Yuma students will order by phone, and tickets will be mailed. Unclaimed tickets will be available, two at a time, for those needing additional tickets between May 2 and May 12. Students will be encouraged to pick up or order only the number of tickets they will actually need.

Graduation Application Due Date:  Because tickets will be given to only those students listed in the commencement bulletin, it will be very important that the graduation application deadlines and bulletin production schedules are followed by all colleges and units. Please make an extra effort to get the word out to potential spring graduates about submitting their graduation paperwork no later than November 15, 2010. Students not listed in the commencement bulletin—even if they are eligible to graduate and attend commencement—will not be able to pick up guest tickets and their families will not be able to attend graduation.

Ticket details and other information will be sent in a letter to each graduating student early in the spring semester. Information will also be posted at nau.edu/graduation.

Please spread the word about the spring graduation application deadline. When the call comes out in early spring, please consider volunteering to staff or serve as a marshal at one or more ceremonies. We are confident that this plan will result in a set of commencement events that we can all be proud of. If we work together, we can ensure that each graduate will have a high-quality commencement event that they each deserve.

Participate 1 training session

Don’t forget! Each student must attend at least one training session provided by other groups.
