Good thought provoking speech. I have never thought deeply about how videos provide us with a great deal more information than text alone. The clip at the end of the video of students in Africa using flip cameras to record reminded me of my concern that the U.S. is falling far behind other countries in education. Sadly, the lack of funds and the strong focus on raising standardized test scores is limiting schools progress in the use of technology. This I fear will only facilitate the decline of the American Education system
ReplyDeleteThis video showed me how videos can teach and inspire. I had a classmate tell us that she learned how to knit using You Tube. This inspired me to feel the possibility of learning anything I want utilizing the web. By posting this on the Internet, I can be inspiring others that have not only read this but have come in contact with someone who read it to do the same. Learn. This is just one example in an endless sea of possibility.
